Streaming Bundles UK: What Actually Saves Money

Vodafone is giving away two years of Netflix and HBO Max until 28 October. Every UK bundle with the arithmetic done, and the two that only look cheap.

A home entertainment setup showing several streaming services

There is a date on this one, so it goes first.

If you take Vodafone Pro Broadband before 28 October 2026, you get Netflix and HBO Max free for the next two years.

Vodafone TV launched on 2 October, and the launch offer gives new Pro Broadband customers Vodafone TV Essential — which includes both services — at no extra cost for the first 24 months of the contract. At £13.98 a month for those two separately, that is around £335 of streaming.

If you were changing broadband anyway, that is the best bundle deal in Britain and it expires in three weeks.

Everything below checked 7 October 2026. We have done the arithmetic on every bundle rather than repeating the marketing, and two of them are not the saving they look like.

Sky Ultimate TV: the one that genuinely beats buying separately

From £24 a month, and since the rollout finished in July it includes:

  • Netflix
  • Disney+ Standard with Ads
  • HBO Max Basic with Ads
  • hayu
  • Sky’s own channels, including Sky Atlantic
  • discovery+ Entertainment on relevant tiers

The sum:

Bought separately
Netflix with ads £7.99
Disney+ with ads £5.99
HBO Max Basic with ads £4.99
hayu £4.99
Total £23.96

£23.96 separately, from £24 bundled — so Sky Atlantic and the rest of the Sky channels come free.

There is a sensible detail too: if you want Disney+ or HBO Max on a higher tier, Sky deducts the bundled ad-supported cost from the upgrade rather than charging you twice.

The catch: Sky ties this to a longer-term TV agreement. The four standalone services are cancellable monthly. So this is a good deal if you were keeping them all year anyway, and a worse one if you like switching things off. Our guide to NOW, Sky Stream, Sky Glass and Sky Q covers which Sky route suits which household.

There is also a cheaper way in: Netflix Standard with Ads comes free with Sky TV plans from £15 a month, which makes Sky the cheapest bundled route to Netflix.

Vodafone TV: new, and roughly break-even on its own

Three tiers, launched on 2 October.

Package Monthly What you get
Vodafone TV £10 A 4K Android TV box, Freely live channels, streaming apps, cloud gaming
Essential £17 The above plus Netflix Standard with Ads and HBO Max Standard with Ads
Ultimate £25.50 Essential plus Disney+ or Prime — needs a Vodafone Entertainment mobile plan

The honest arithmetic on Essential: Netflix with ads is £7.99 and HBO Max Standard with ads is £5.99, so £13.98 separately against £17 bundled. You are paying £3.02 a month for the box, the live television and the cloud gaming.

That is fair rather than remarkable. Unless you take the broadband offer, in which case it is free for two years and the arithmetic stops mattering. Vodafone TV also comes at no extra cost with Pro Broadband plans from £39 a month more generally.

Worth checking your line speed before committing to a 4K box, which our guide to internet speed for streaming in the UK covers.

Sky with broadband

If you want everything on one bill:

  • Sky Stream + Sky TV + Netflix + Full Fibre 300 — around £35 a month, 24 months
  • The same with Full Fibre 500 — around £40 a month, 24 months

Both are reasonable if you were buying broadband and television together. Both are 24-month commitments, which is the recurring theme of this page.

Mobile plans: free, but read the small print

Several networks include streaming with a phone contract, and the quality of the offer varies enormously.

Network What you get Worth it?
EE Netflix Standard with Ads on All Rounder; Netflix Premium on Full Works The best in the market. Premium is £20.99 standalone
Vodafone Disney+ or Prime Video on Entertainment plans, for the contract term Good — it runs for the whole contract
O2 Disney+ free for 3 months on Classic, 6 on Plus and Ultimate A promotion, not an inclusion

EE’s Netflix Premium on Full Works is the single strongest inclusion anywhere. £20.99 of value, every month, for the length of the contract.

O2’s is the one to be careful about. Three to six months of Disney+ is a trial with a longer name. After it ends you are paying full price or cancelling, and the phone contract runs on for two years.

And one caveat that applies to all of them: streaming on your phone still uses your normal data allowance. “Free Netflix” does not mean free data, and watching a film on 4G will make a visible dent.

How to judge any bundle in two minutes

The method, since new ones keep appearing.

  1. Price the components separately, at the exact tiers the bundle includes. “Netflix included” could mean the £7.99 tier or the £20.99 one. Our guide to every UK streaming price compared has the full table.
  2. Subtract. If the bundle is more than the parts, stop.
  3. Divide the saving by the contract length. Saving £1 a month across 24 months is £24 of value against two years of commitment. That is rarely worth it.
  4. Ask what you would have bought anyway. A bundle that includes two services you want and one you do not is only saving you money on the two.
  5. Check whether it is an inclusion or a promotion. Three months is a trial. The length of the contract is an inclusion.

Which bundles are actually worth it

Yes, clearly:

  • Vodafone Pro Broadband before 28 October — two years of Netflix and HBO Max free, if you were changing broadband anyway.
  • EE Full Works, if you wanted Netflix Premium. It is the most valuable inclusion in the market.
  • Sky Ultimate TV at £24, if you were going to hold those four services all year regardless.

Only if you were buying the other thing anyway:

  • Sky with broadband at £35 or £40
  • Vodafone TV Essential at £17 standalone
  • Vodafone mobile Entertainment plans

Probably not:

  • O2’s Disney+ months. A promotion attached to a two-year contract.
  • Any bundle including a service you would not otherwise buy. The headline saving is calculated on the assumption that you wanted all of it.

The thing bundles cost you that is not money

Every bundle on this page trades flexibility for price, and flexibility is worth more in streaming than in almost anything else.

The cheapest way to watch television in Britain is to rotate — hold one or two services permanently and take the others for a month when there is something specific you want. Disney+ releases in clusters. NOW is built for it. Apple TV+ can be exhausted in a month.

A 24-month bundle makes that impossible. So the honest question is not “does this save money against holding everything all year” — most bundles do — but “does it save money against the way I would actually watch?”

Our guide to cutting your UK streaming bill works through that properly, and our guide to free streaming in the UK covers how much you get for nothing before any of this.

Common questions

What is the best streaming bundle in the UK?

Vodafone Pro Broadband before 28 October, which includes Netflix and HBO Max free for 24 months. Otherwise Sky Ultimate TV at £24 for four services plus the Sky channels.

Is Sky Ultimate TV cheaper than separate subscriptions?

Yes. Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max and hayu cost £23.96 separately at the tiers Sky includes, and the bundle starts at £24 with Sky’s own channels on top.

How much is Vodafone TV?

£10 for the box and live channels, £17 with Netflix and HBO Max, £25.50 adding Disney+ or Prime with a Vodafone mobile plan.

Which mobile network gives the best free streaming?

EE, which includes Netflix Premium on its Full Works plans — £20.99 of value a month.

Does free Netflix on a mobile plan use my data?

Yes. The subscription is included; the data is not.

Are streaming bundles a con?

Not always. Sky Ultimate genuinely beats buying separately. The thing they cost you is flexibility, which matters more than the money for anyone who rotates subscriptions.

The short version

Take Vodafone Pro Broadband before 28 October if you need broadband — two years of Netflix and HBO Max free is worth about £335. Sky Ultimate TV at £24 genuinely beats the £23.96 those four services cost separately, with the Sky channels thrown in, provided you can live with the contract. EE’s Netflix Premium is the best mobile inclusion going. And ignore O2’s three-to-six months of Disney+, which is a trial attached to a two-year commitment.
