Prime Video UK: Every Original Coming Soon

What Prime Video has confirmed, what it has only given a year to, and the November date where two of its biggest titles collide.

Raindrops on a window with blurred city lights behind

Prime Video has had a quiet year in Britain. November is where that stops.

Two of the biggest things Amazon has made are arriving within a fortnight of each other, and through what looks like an oversight, they finish on the same day. If you are planning a viewing month, plan that one.

After that, 2027 is thinner than the announcements suggest, for reasons worth understanding before you get your hopes up.

Confirmed, with dates

These have firm dates from Amazon. Prime Video releases its originals worldwide on the same day, so British dates match.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, series three

From 11 November 2026.

The schedule is the interesting part. Amazon is releasing four episodes at once on the eleventh, then two a week after that.

Date Episodes
11 November 1, 2, 3 and 4
18 November 5 and 6
25 November 7 and 8

That front-loading is new. Series one and two went out weekly, and the switch suggests Amazon wants people deep enough in to stay rather than drifting off after a slow first hour.

Blade Runner 2099

All eight episodes on 25 November 2026.

Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer lead a limited series set fifty years after Blade Runner 2049, released in more than 240 countries and territories on the same day. The trailer is already out and it looks expensive in the way the films did.

Amazon put both Blade Runner films into the catalogue at the start of October, which is a reasonable hint that it expects people to want them first.

The clash nobody flagged

25 November carries both the Rings of Power finale and all eight hours of Blade Runner 2099.

That is the single most useful thing on this page. Two of Amazon’s biggest titles of the year land on one Wednesday, and one of them is a complete series. Keep the following weekend free, or accept that you will be behind on something.

Barbershop

10 February 2027. A new comedy series, the first firm date Amazon has given for next year.

Announced for 2027, no date yet

This is where most coverage gets misleading, because a year is not a date and some of these will move.

Tomb Raider

The one most people are waiting for, and the one to be most careful about.

Sophie Turner plays Lara Croft. Phoebe Waller-Bridge created it, writes it and runs it, with Chad Hodge as co-showrunner, and Jonathan Van Tulleken directing, who made the first two episodes of Shogun. On paper that is as strong a combination as Amazon has assembled for anything.

The honest position: filming began in January 2026, and in March Turner aggravated an existing back injury on set, which cost the production at least a month. A 2027 window that has already slipped once, on a show that lost time to an injury, is not something to plan around. We will say so plainly rather than repeating the window as though it were a promise.

Vought Rising

The Boys finished with series five, and this is what Amazon is doing with the world afterwards. A murder mystery set in the 1950s covering the origins of Vought, the early career of Soldier Boy and Stormfront’s manoeuvring, with Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash returning in both roles and producing.

There is a trailer. There is no date. 2027 is the stated window.

The rest of the 2027 slate

Postcards from Italy, Su Majestad series two, and Please Save My Earth, which has an autumn 2027 window. Jury Duty series two and Deadloch series two have both been attached to a March 2027 date in some listings, though that sits oddly with Deadloch having already been reviewed as one of the year’s better series, so treat it as unsettled.

Announced with no window at all

These exist, they are coming, and nobody has said when.

  • Young Sherlock series two. The first run was one of Prime Video’s better recent efforts, pairing Holmes with Moriarty rather than Watson.
  • Bloodaxe series two
  • Boys of Tommen
  • Nine to Six
  • Animal Love

And Reacher, eventually

Series four arrived in August 2026, so series five is probably late 2027 at the earliest and could well be 2028. It will adapt Make Me, Lee Child’s twentieth novel, which puts Reacher in a remote Oklahoma town called Mother’s Rest alongside a former FBI agent.

Worth noting that Make Me is a slower, more investigative book than the ones the series has used so far, which may mean a change of pace from the show that has become Amazon’s most reliable product. Our guide to the best series on Prime Video UK explains why that matters to the service as a whole.

The release-pattern problem

Amazon now has no consistent habit, and it catches people out constantly.

  1. All at once. Carrie dropped eight episodes on one day in October. Blade Runner 2099 will do the same in November.
  2. Front-loaded, then weekly pairs. Rings of Power series three: four, then two, then two.
  3. Batches. Clarkson’s Farm series five went four, then two, then two, spread across three weeks in June.
  4. Weekly singles. Most of the drama, including the Reacher run.

So “has it all come out yet” has four possible answers depending on the title, and nothing in the app tells you which. Check the episode list before you commit an evening.

How to read any “coming soon” list, including this one

Three honest cautions, since nobody else offers them.

A year is not a date. Tomb Raider and Vought Rising are both listed for 2027 and neither has a day attached. Dates get announced when a show is finished, not when it is hoped for.

Dates slip. Tomb Raider has already lost time to an injury on set. That is normal television production, not a scandal, but it does mean windows move.

This page will go stale. We will update it, and in the meantime the safest check is Amazon’s own announcements rather than any list, including ours.

Is any of it a reason to subscribe now?

If you are weighing it up, November is the strongest case Prime Video has made in a while. Eight hours of Blade Runner 2099 and eight episodes of Rings of Power inside a fortnight is a real month of television, and both are included with a membership rather than sitting behind a channel.

That said, Prime Video’s releases arrive in clusters, which makes it a good candidate for picking up and putting down rather than holding all year. Our guide to whether Prime Video is worth it in the UK works through the arithmetic, and our comparison with Netflix is honest about which service always has something next.

If you are joining for November specifically, it is worth knowing that 4K is included at no extra cost on Prime Video, which both of these titles will make use of. Our guide to 4K streaming in the UK covers whether your television will show the difference.

Common questions

When does Rings of Power series three start?

11 November 2026, with the first four episodes together, then two a week until 25 November.

When is Blade Runner 2099 released?

25 November 2026, all eight episodes at once, worldwide on the same day.

When is the Tomb Raider series coming to Prime Video?

2027 is the stated window, with no date announced. Production lost at least a month to an on-set injury in March 2026, so treat the window as soft.

Is The Boys really finished?

The main series ended with its fifth run. Vought Rising, a 1950s prequel with Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash, is expected in 2027.

When is Reacher series five?

No date. Series four arrived in August 2026, so late 2027 or 2028 is realistic. It will adapt Make Me.

Do UK and US release dates match on Prime Video?

For Amazon’s own originals, yes. They release globally on the same day. Licensed titles are a different matter entirely.

The short version

November is the month: Rings of Power series three from the eleventh in a four-then-two-then-two pattern, and all eight hours of Blade Runner 2099 on the twenty-fifth, which is also the Rings of Power finale. After that only Barbershop has a firm date. Tomb Raider and Vought Rising are both 2027 windows rather than promises, and Tomb Raider has already slipped once.
