February 2026 was the most British month Netflix UK has had. The writer of Derry Girls brought a new series over from Channel 4, ITN made a documentary about Lucy Letby with footage nobody had seen, and Bridgerton finished its fourth season at the end of the month.
If you came here for this month rather than February, the list you want is our October 2026 release list, and our guide to what’s new on Netflix UK is kept current all year.
What follows is the February record, with the full schedule at the foot.
Key takeaways
- How to Get to Heaven From Belfast — 12 February, all eight episodes at once, from the Derry Girls writer.
- The Investigation of Lucy Letby — 4 February, 90 minutes, with previously unseen police footage.
- Bridgerton season 4 part 2 — 26 February, 8am GMT.
- The Lincoln Lawyer season 4 on the 5th, The Night Agent season 3 on the 19th.
- Ten seasons of ER landed on 10 February and almost every list buried it.
The most British month Netflix UK has had
Four of February’s notable titles were British or Irish: the Belfast series, the Letby documentary, a new run of the Channel 4 comedy Everyone Else Burns, and Being Gordon Ramsay. That is not a coincidence.
2026 was the year Ofcom found that Netflix had overtaken the BBC as the place UK viewers look first for something to watch — by a single percentage point. Commissioning British is how you win British viewers, and February is what that strategy looks like on a release calendar. The figures are further down.
It is also why the UK catalogue is not the American one, something we go through in our guide to why the UK and US catalogues differ.
How to Get to Heaven From Belfast
12 February, all eight episodes at once, an hour each. Written by Lisa McGee, who made Derry Girls, which is the only recommendation most people will need.
Three childhood friends travel to County Donegal after hearing that the fourth of their group, Greta, has died. They had not spoken to her in years. Then it becomes less clear that she is dead.
It is billed as a dark comedy-mystery, and the tonal range is wider than Derry Girls — closer to a thriller with very funny people in it. Roísín Gallagher, Sinéad Keenan and Caoilfhionn Dunne lead, with Ardal O’Hanlon, Michelle Fairley, Tom Basden and Emmett J. Scanlan around them. Saoirse-Monica Jackson turns up in a cameo, which Derry Girls viewers will enjoy.
One piece of history worth knowing: it was announced at Channel 4 first and moved to Netflix, made by Hat Trick and Derry Products. So it is a British and Irish production that ended up on an American service, which is the pattern described above in miniature.
If this is the kind of thing you are after, our guide to where to watch British sitcoms covers what sits on which service.
The Investigation of Lucy Letby
4 February, 90 minutes, directed by Dominic Sivyer and made by ITN Productions. Netflix released it globally rather than only in the UK.
What it had that earlier coverage did not was access. ITN said the film includes previously unseen footage of Letby’s arrest and questioning, along with testimony from the officers who ran the investigation.
The legal position, stated plainly, because a lot of coverage gives half of it. Letby was convicted in 2023 of seven counts of murder and seven of attempted murder and given a whole-life order. Her applications for permission to appeal those convictions have been refused. Her legal team has since applied to the Criminal Cases Review Commission, the body that reviews possible miscarriages of justice, as Variety reported.
Both of those things are true at once, and anyone deciding whether to watch should know both. We are not going to offer a view on the case.
For the wider field, our guide to true crime documentaries in the UK covers what is on each service and how to approach it.
Bridgerton season 4, part 2
Part 2 arrived on 26 February 2026, at 8am GMT in the UK. Four episodes, finishing the Benedict season that had started on 29 January.
We cover the part 2 release in more detail separately, and the first half is in our January 2026 line-up.
The month’s six biggest titles
| Title | Date | What it was | Detail |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Investigation of Lucy Letby | 4 Feb | Documentary | 90 min, ITN Productions |
| The Lincoln Lawyer S4 | 5 Feb | Returning drama | Fourth season |
| ER | 10 Feb | Licensed catalogue | Ten seasons |
| How to Get to Heaven From Belfast | 12 Feb | Dark comedy-mystery | 8 episodes, Lisa McGee |
| The Night Agent S3 | 19 Feb | Returning thriller | Per the UK schedule |
| Bridgerton S4 Part 2 | 26 Feb | Period drama | 8am GMT, 4 episodes |
The returning series
The Lincoln Lawyer, season 4 — 5 February
Mickey Haller back in the car. Four seasons in, it has settled into being reliably good rather than remarkable, which is a perfectly respectable thing for a legal drama to be.
The Night Agent, season 3 — 19 February
The UK schedule put the third season on the 19th. We found only the one source for that date, so treat it as the schedule rather than a confirmed announcement.
Love Is Blind and Kohrra — both 11 February
Love Is Blind reached a tenth season, which is a sentence that would have seemed unlikely in 2020. Kohrra returned for a second, and remains one of the better Indian crime dramas Netflix has made.
Ten seasons of ER
On 10 February, and it deserves more than the single line every other list gave it. Ten seasons is several hundred episodes arriving in one day — the kind of addition that quietly keeps people subscribed for months.
One caveat: ER is licensed rather than a Netflix production, which means it will leave again when the deal ends. Our guide to how long titles stay on Netflix explains how those windows work, and our removal tracker covers what is on the way out.
Every Netflix UK release, February 2026
N marks a Netflix Original. Everything else was licensed in.

Where February fits the bigger UK picture
Ofcom’s Media Nations UK 2026 report, published in July, put Netflix in 18.1 million UK households — 61% of them. Prime Video reaches 13.7 million (46%) and Disney+ 7.8 million (26%). Netflix accounted for 9% of all in-home video viewing in the UK.
The number that matters for a month like February is a different one. Asked where they look first for something to watch, 26% of UK viewers said Netflix and 25% said the BBC. That is the first time Netflix has led, and the margin is one point.
Which is the point of a month like February. A one-point lead over the BBC is not held with American imports. It is held with Lisa McGee, with a documentary about a British case, and with British comedy — and that is what February’s schedule was.
